San Diego Harbor Log11-04-06 11 a.m. A subject reported that his vessel has sustained damage while it was moored at a marina on Shelter Island. 11-06-06 6 a.m. Harbor Police divers completed a Mass Rescue / Recovery Operation with San Diego Lifeguards. 3 p.m. Harbor Police responded to the A-4 anchorage regarding a vessel adrift causing damage to other vessels. 5 p.m. A boater requested assistance from Harbor Police when they became stranded without lights near Shelter Island. 11-11-06 1:20 a.m. Harbor Police issued a citation to a person for possession of undersized lobster at the Shelter Island launch ramp. 3 p.m. Harbor Police issued three citations to boaters near the Coronado Bridge for fishing without licenses. 8:45 p.m. Harbor Police issued a citation to a person near buoy 18 who was traveling in a vessel without lights. 8:50 p.m. A subject anchored in the A-8 was cited for having expired registration (1999 expiration). 11-14-06 8:48 a.m. A diesel fuel spill was reported at 'G' Street Mole. Coast Guard was notified and investigating. 2:05 p.m. While Coast Guard was investigating the fuel spill, they found methamphetamine on a vessel and notified Harbor Police. (Nice catch Coasties!) 11-15-06 8:30 p.m. A subject was issued a citation for being anchored in the A-8 without a permit. 11-16-06 12 noon - Harbor Police responded to the 'G' Street Mole after a body was found floating. Harbor Police divers conducted a dive in the area and homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. 11-18-06 8 p.m. Harbor Police contacted a person on board a vessel near the Coronado Bridge because he was operating the vessel without lights. The operator had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was taken to jail. (Could there be a reason he was operating without lights?) 11-21-06 4:30 a.m. Harbor Police responded to the A-3 anchorage to a call of a burglary in progress. Harbor Police found the suspect on board the vessel and arrested him. It was later determined that the burglary suspect used a stolen inflatable with stolen motors to commit the burglary. The stolen items were recovered. 11-27-06 3:17 p.m. A subject was cited in the A-8 anchorage for being illegally anchored and having expired registration. 4:53 p.m. A subject was cited for being illegally anchored in the A-5 anchorage and for other registration violations.
