On April 26, the Port sponsored a free lecture on the impact of plastic debris on the lives of albatrosses and other seabirds.

Carol Keiper, the presenter, studied the growing problem of seabirds found starving to death because their stomachs are full of un-digestible plastics.

The lecture was intended as a "call to action" to inspire people to participate in the Creek to Bay Cleanup and the Wetland Avengers Cleanup, both taking place on April 29.

The attached PDF flyer provides all of the information about the event.

If you would like some paper flyers for distribution, please let me know and I can have a few hundred printed up for you at the Port and mail them to you, however I am trying to keep most of this advertising done electronically so that we don't use too much paper in the process.
